Women styling question. I have seen this girl do this amazing styling move; I don’t know what it’s called, but I call it the chicken dance. It’’s where she comes out if this cross body lead, but instead of spinning at the end, she instead flaps her arms like the bird dance. It is really cool.

Eh, was just thinking. Where are the t-shirts? I’d get one or two through CafePress or something.

What’s the name of this salsa pattern?
On step 7 you raise the follower’s arms so they are straight above her head, hands crossed.
On step 1 you begin a cross-body-lead by having your left arm wrapped around her waist and pull to cause her to do a spin.
She then moves around behind you where you help her to rolled/spin against you until she comes back on the other side where you prep her for a free spin.
Essentially it’s a spin, but you lead her from the waist. I kinda know how to do it, but want to find a video on youtube to refine it.
Any ideas?

How to recover when you exit a pattern and end up with steps that go 5-6-7 1-2-3? I do this sometimes and it just throws everything off.

For the first time today, like finding out I have superpowers, I was watching a bunch of dancers at the club and was able to read their 1,2,3 5,6,7 moves and match them up to the music. And from that was able to understand the beats.
I found it much easier than listening to endless amounts of music and then counting the steps trying to find something that matches. It was a really cool experience.

Looking to travel for salsa. Was thinking about going to Puerto Rico since I believe it’s the home of Salsa. What I wanted to know is does anyone know which are good On1 salsa destinations in the warmer climates.

Hi all,
I have figured out a few things about stepping on salsa with on1. With songs that have a strong cowbell i am amazing When it comes to keeping the beat, I step on the cowbell at 1, 3, 5 and 7.
But I have discovered that with some songs at the club I have a lot of problems finding that beat.
I know that it will come with experience. I have listened to a lot of salsa on my iPod and I can figure out the beat quite easily. I can even danse to it in my living room. My question is this, is there a way to reproduce club like quality to the music so I can practice my steps to that? Or does anyone have any tips.

Anyone have tips on how to slow down my thinking or keep good pace. I do count out my 1-2-3 5-6-7, but sometimes I inadvertably start speeding up and then forget my pauses.
